Memes
Those cutie pictures with funny sayings. They spread around
the web like wildfire and all it takes is a quick “click” for readers to share
with their friends. And they’re simple to make too.
Use your cover image and add a quote from the book.
Use some or part of the book cover as your background image with quote. If you do this, make it obvious where this quote comes from. Add the book name, author name, or some identifying label to it.
Use images that associate with the feel of the quote you use from the book to deliver on theme rather than hitting them with the exact cover image. Add the book name, author name, or some identifying label to it so people know the source.
Combine them with #hashtags when you post them on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Pin them to your Pinterest board. Share them anywhere you can, and encourage others to share as well.
When it comes to marketing your work, free is best. Memes are eye catching and cost nothing (or very little) to make. So, if you're not using them, start now.

where do you go to make them? Or do you have photoshop?
I use photoshop, but GIMP is a free program that anyone can use to do simple photo manipulation.
okay, cool. I've been trying picmonkey, which I like, but I can't figure some things out. I'll try GIMP. Thanks!
Give GIMP a try. I think you'll like it.
