Monday Grumbles

I hate Monday

After two days of waking up at a respectable hour of the morning, that dreaded alarms screams at a heinously early time; before the sun has even had a chance to rise. And I am expected to jump out of bed and instantly be bright eyed and bushy tailed for work.

No sir.

Ain't happening.

I hate Mondays.

I'm grumpy. I'm grouchy. I was in the middle of a good dream this morning for goodness sake.

How dare that alarm clock! How dare Monday morning interrupt my wonderful dreams!

Talk about waking up on the wrong side of the bed. Is there a right side when Monday morning is concerned?

I need to go back to bed. No good can come of this day. Already my workload has been doubled by other people who were smarter than me and called in sick. (That's what happens when you are the "backup girl" everyone else dumps their work on you.)

Mondays should be banned.

Commiserate with me people. Who else here hates Mondays?

My sympathies to you.

Sorry, I have to say that I like Mondays. My kids go back to school and I have the day to recoup from the weekend chaos. But I am looking for a job right now, so if and when I get one, I will abhor Mondays.

I am not liking today at all. At least it's halfway over. Although, Tuesday is not a favorite of mine either...

Oh, Katie, but Monday is a wooooonderful day! It is the start of a new week of diligence and happiness. I often go around spreading flowers and making commuter's faces brighter all Monday long.

Yeah, I'm afraid I'm with Lazy Writer on this one. Monday's are nice because the kids are back in school and I get a little bit of quiet time. I used to hate Monday back when I was working (and in school).

Okay, I don't but only because I'm a SAHM. I remember the days of work and I hated Mondays too.
I hope your day goes better for you. :-)

I actually like Mondays now (gasp!) but only because I don't have to work (SAHM) and my husband goes back to work on Mondays. So that means writing time for me. But I put some definite hours in the working trenches not too long ago and I LOATHED Mondays.
