Spooktacular BK Walker!

Today's Spooktacular Spotlight Author is BK Walker!

K.S.  Hello and welcome to the blog. I am very excited to have you here. Why don’t we start off with a small introduction? Tell us a little about yourself.

BK: Hey Katie. So exciting to be back after such a long time. Almost seems an eternity. A lot has changed since we last spoke. I am still publishing books, my newest release just happened on September 15th - Wolf Be Mine! A Wolves Habitat (Book 2 in the Wolves of Shadow Falls Series), so exciting. To Love A Wolf is book one and both are available at Amazon.

I've also started coaching (http://bkwalkerscafe.com), helping authors breakthrough the marketing madness one actionable step at a time. There's always new writing and marketing tips on my blog, I just started a weekly video series "PHAT Tuesday", new programs available for a more personal coaching experience and new ebooks too.

I just really wanted to make it easier for authors, especially new authors, to have a path to follow and it's been so much fun in the process.

K.S.  Any interesting writing quirks or stories you would like to share with my readers?

BK: I love music & coffee when I'm writing. I never used to plan my book, but now I found that as I get older, it's so much easier if I do so I have a way to get myself back on track. It sucks (no pun intended) getting old, lol.

K.S.  When did you realize you wanted to be a writer? What sparked the desire to pen your first novel?

BK:  I've always been a storyteller, but what keeps sparking my desire to pen novels, novellas and short stories is the lack of books sparking my interest. I love to read, but find that books are lacking originality, action, tension, and I want to write books that I want to read, because I know I can't be the only one out there that feel that way. So I figure I'll give it to them :)

K.S.  What genre do you write?

BK:  Contemporary Romance, YA Paranormal Romance, Amish Romance, Adult Paranormal Romance, Paranormal Erotica Romance, Short Stories, and I will soon be delving into a Zombie Affair with my next book. I have several books in the works in all genres, so don't panic when you can't find my Amish Romance yet, it's not out yet.

K.S.  What would you say has inspired you most in your writing career? Or, who is your favorite author and why?

I love Tina Folsom. This woman can write anything and draw you in. She's phenomenal and I love her writing style. It took me a bit to find my voice, but I think I'm finally getting in the groove :)

K.S.  What does your family think of your writing?

My husband loves my work and my daughter is one of my biggest fans always wanting the next book. Obviously, my boys haven't read my work due to the nature of it (sex and vampires), they're more into sports, but they have all been a big support.

K.S.  What was one of the most surprising things you learned while creating your books?

BK:  That I can craft a great story in a short time. One of my gifts is that I can tell my story, giving plenty of plot, action and romance in a short amount of pages and it doesn't cut the story short. I like that, and surprised at that myself. With my own lack of time to read though, I love that I can do that for others that may want to squeeze a story in before bed.

K.S.  What inspires you?

BK:  Everything. My husband recently asked me if I was still looking. I looked at him strangely because I really had no clue what he was talking about. He pointed out that I stare a lot at other people (he meant men). Of course I laughed because I didn't think I did that, but I paid attention the next time we were out and about. He was right, but I wasn't looking at people the way he thought I was. When I look at people, I'm seeing them as a werewolf, or thinking wouldn't they make a good vampire in my next book.

Everything that happens, or that I see, I'm working it into my writing in some way.

K.S.  Can you tell us a little about any of your novels?

Excerpt:

I lay on blood red silk sheets, the room dark except for the eerie shadows that danced in the candles glow. A low, deep guttural growl rang in my ears, almost too quiet to be heard. Trying to move to see where the noise erupted from, I realized my hands were tied to the bed posts. I tugged harder thinking I might break free, only to find the ropes around my wrists tightening. Bile started rising in my throat as panic set in. I had no idea where I was. I could feel my heart pound in my chest like a jackhammer and I shook my arms in a last attempt, and hope, at freedom. Unable to see anything in the room with me, I froze when the pain seared through me. Looking down at my chest, blood started oozing out of the four wide gashes where my skin now lay open and I stared, too in shock to move or say anything. Was that a claw mark?
“You will be still, my love.”
I startled, squinting my eyes to make out the figure that slowly moved up my body, starting from my feet. From the shadowy glow, long silky brown hair tickled my bare legs. For the first time, I noticed I was completely naked. What the heck was going on?
“I have chosen you for my mate, Love. You will share my gift and we can be together for eternity.” Slowly she continued to move up my body, now seductively licking my thighs in small, circular motions.
My body was betraying me, my manhood rising to the warmth of her tongue. I watched as deep golden eyes now stared back at me. She had to be the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. Her skin was flawless and white as cream. Her eyes glowed seductively while her hair flowed beautifully around her face, revealing high cheek bones that led to full, plump lips. She continued with circular motions of her tongue, now teasing me to a full erection. The pain could no longer be felt as my loins took over.
“Ah yes. You will be the perfect mate. I'm so glad to have found you, and lucky. On the full moon, Love, we will be bonded forever.” She licked the tip of my cock, slowly sliding those luscious lips round my shaft.
My eyes closed and my head fell back, a moan escaping me. I knew in the back of my mind I should be scared as hell, but I couldn't help the pleasure that flooded my senses. I felt like I was falling into oblivion, falling...falling...falling.
