Watcha Readin?

Don't mind the crappy picture, It was taken on my phone. This is my current to-read pile. I was chatting with a friend and fellow bookworm about books each of us should read. Suggestions were flying and at one point I had to stop and say, "I don't need any more books to read I have a mountain to get through as it is."

The picture helped to prove my point. LoL

You will notice I have books from;

Gena Showalter
Lara Adrian
Christine Feehan
Sherlyn Kenyen
Charlaine Harris
Kate McAllister
Laurel K. Hamilton

(are you detecting the vampire theme here?)

So, what does your to-read list look like? What theme/genre are you currently reading?

Oh it's so pretty! I love nothing more than a big pile of books waiting for me!
My own pile continues to grow. I'm going away this weekend and hoping to get 3-4 read.

Right now I'm reading Silvertongue by Charlie Fletcher (MG fantasy), after that I'll read Rift in the Sky by Julie E. Czerneda (sci-fi) and then Hero of Ages by Brandon Sanderson (fantasy).

Talk about timing--I posted my reading list a few minutes ago! I picked up a Sherrilyn Kenyon book yesterday, I haven't read anything of hers before. I'll have to move it up on the list!

I'm reading Outlander right now, and I'm thinking it's going to take me a while to finish, so I'm not looking ahead at what I'm going to read next. I've been compiling a list, though.

I have so many more books on my to read list, but I have to restrain myself. I'm not allowed to buy any more untill I have knocked out this pile.

I think for Christmas, I will ask my family for Borders gift cards. LoL.

I have a big long list of what I want to read next. But I'm not reading because my life is taking me in other directions. Like my writing and for some reason I just can't bring myself to read while I write at the moment. Go figure.

But first book I'm going to read when I finish this novel is "Graceling."

I'm reading first time Author Gregg Copper right now, and his novel "the seventh son".. its not bad. I was a little short on books (down to 1 to read) but that all changed after a local book fest. My to read pile now looks like yours. Robin Cook, Karin Slaughter, Michael Crichton, Dean Koontz, etc... a lot the books too as murder mysteries, and haunting related stories, since are the genres I am writing in.

I don't have as many as you, but I read in the MG and YA markets mostly. I've got the last Percy Jackson, Catching Fire, Ink Exchange, and another one I can't remember right now. I bought more books last week, so I know I have others... Brain...broekn.

That's so funny... I'm the opposite right now. I'm running out of books to read! That's not a fun problem to have, especially when I've re-read just about everything on my bookshelves this year!

Your list has a lot of similarities to mine. Love Charlaine Harris and Sherrilyn Kenyon. I also have a Gena Showalter in mine. I started to read Personal Demons by Stacia Kane, but then got sidetracked by a Harlequin a friend recommended, lol. So I'll probably finish that one first. My TBR pile is huge.

Me too, me too! I just lurve towering piles of TBR books. Mine are spread out, mostly women's fiction. But I do have #4 in the Twilight series thrown in the mix. :)

Heeehee! I see those Sherrilyn books in there. I do have a pile of books, but they're a mix of things, and they're books I've won and haven't been able to read yet. Like ten of them. Sigh. Normally my tastes range all over the place, except for big fantasies, sci-fi and literary (too sad). Have fun with that pile!

Love that pile of books! :) I was reading MG when writing my MG adventure story. Now with the YA mystery, I'm reading any mystery I can get my hands on. As a matter of fact, our book store is having a 20% off sale on Saturday. So I'm headed there to stock up! Have fun reading. Have a soak in the tub and read while relaxing. :)

I love Charlaine Harris! She's the best. Your profile is hilarious!!! I was reading all about being super mom and thinking, "Sheesh! I suck at being a mom!" And then I got to the end and let out a huge sigh of relief.

So...what'd ya think of Vampire Diaries? I watched it because you were so excited about it. And I did really like Moonlight. Sigh. Talk about being a year ahead of the trend.

Still haven't gotten to anything on my TBR list and there are a bunch of books I really want to get my hands on to read.
